So, the teacher said that we need to look at ourselves and see which are our values. As a PR practitioner, you need to be honest, pure, ethical, trustworthy, sincere, moral and so on. You need to know exactly what are your principles and don’t compromise yourself. Just because some company pay you doesn’t mean you have to lie for them or hide some horrible story. You are more important as a person than any other thing. Your own reputation is at stake.
It wasn’t what I supposed I could learn in my first lesson about PR, but it was so helpful that someone remind me not to adjust myself after others. And now I advise you the same. Take some time for you and write down who you are, what are your beliefs, values and make sure no one forces you to do what you don’t want to do.
